French being a second language, France is one of our passions, with geneological connections to Armand de Caumont Marquis de La Force. Making dinner reservations, the conversation might go something like this, "s'il vous plait, je veux faire des réservations pour dîner à dix-neuf." A few fabulous French food favorites are: Madeleine, Bouillabaisse, Gougère, Coque au Vin, Tarte Flambée, and Foie Gras. Among favorite Parisian landmarks are Montmartre, Le Louvre, Le Tour Eiffel, and Versailles. Notable Parisian hotspots include Le Bon Marche' Rive Gauche, Le Violon D'ingres, Un Maison Constant, Le Clos des Gourmets, Restaurant Le Voltaire, L'Hotel Le Tourville Paris, and Le Musee d"Orsay. Favorite villages of Provence are Avignon, Grasse, Aix-en-Provence, Mougins, Les Baux-de-Provence. Lining up "des autres villes françaises fabuleuses" are the port at Marseille, the villages along the French Riviera, including Nice and Cannes, as well as the wine country, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace and others along the Alsation Wine Route (“Route du Vin”).

I want to visit Paris, France

Cannes, on the French riviera, emanates an undeniable aura of excess when stars, starlets, and the super rich descend (entourages in tow) for the International film festival, an event that is the epitome of opulence and glamour. Along the famed boulevard de la Croisette extending eastward from le Palais des Festivals and le Rade de Cannes, paparazzi are lurking around each corner. Though a 24/7 "Ironman" marathon of nightlife revelry and glitzy parties during the festival, Cannes transforms into a quiet, serene, buttoned-up (or at least "members only") "club med" the rest of the year, making the non-stop lavish celebrations of film awards a faint memory. If you choose the adventure of the European Delivery System and plan to take delivery of your new Mercedes in Germany, it is a requisite part of any 'bon voyage' to drive the highways that twist along rocks and cliffs adorning Le Cote d'Azur. After an insanely exhilarating drive ("007 style") along the Mediterannean, slow down for a more "pedestrian" visit to the perfume factory at Grasse, the French capital of perfume, and be ready with the 'nose' to have senses invigorated. Fragonard is one of the oldest and best established, and offers tours daily. Visit the most exclusive enclave in the Riviera, Antibes. Eat lunch in Mougins, birthplace of Lenôtre and known for it gastronomic (if not gourmet) cuisine. Visit the hilltop medieval village of St Paul de Vence, famous for its artists. Last but not least, le piece de resistance is the ancient Eze, medieval village perched eagles nest fashion on a narrow rocky perch overlooking the Mediterranean. This fortified village is still crowned with the well preserved remains of its 12th-century fortified castle and the well-known Jardin Exotique.

Order up foie gras, maybe a nice chateaubriand, with an aged pinot noir while enjoying the artists banter in Le Petit Lapin at the top of Montmartre. Stroll the 'rive gauche', wonder at the history and and philosophy of those who frequent L'isle de la Cite' and the Sorbonne. It's Paris, and we'll take you there. Just say I Want To Visit Paris.
